Autumn likes to hang around here much longer than it does in other places. We still have fallen leaves everywhere, with verrry light frost...no snow, though. It's been super nice. Not sure if there will even be a real "winter" this year, or if it will just jump from Autumn to Spring.
So I decided to take a stroll in the leaves yesterday and get a quick shot of Zero enjoying the serenity. It's been difficult for me to mess with the dollies lately. Fibromyalgia is kicking my ass. (;ω; ) -weeps pathetically-
But I've been thinking of giving Zero an Ensou tattoo (reference: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ens%C5%8… ) but I have no idea where to put it. What do you guys think? Where would be a good spot? He already has a large back piece, and a chest plate tattoo on the left side. So I can't put it there.
I so love Autumn. He is still very cool. I feel a tattoo represents you you. it should reflect what you like and be in a place you like not what other people want or were they want it. I love the Ensou good meaning. I cant wait to see it.
Thank you. I love autumn, too. And I totally agree. I've always known I wanted to give him an Ensou, but I've always had a problem deciding where to put it on him. Usually I'm pretty 100% on knowing where I want tattoos...but for some reason I can't decide on this one. Thought I would get my watchers involved in sharing ideas. Right now I'm leaning more towards his shoulder now...and adding some Sanskrit maybe!
Sorry for the late reply on this! Been super sick for a while now. >_<
And these are called "Ball-jointed dolls" Or "Asian ball-jointed dolls". They're cast by various artists/companies and usually sold blank. Then they're sent out to aesthetics artists such as myself to paint and design their look however the owner wants. Usually after an original character of sorts. This one is from my own personal collection. I'm happy you like him!
Thank you very much for your sympathy. I'm very sorry to hear about your condition as well. It's true, these conditions make it very hard just to get by and enjoy everyday life sometimes. I hope continue to draw -- don't say it's dumb! I'm a professional photographer (aside from being a doll artist) and both of those things take a toll on my joints and hands, but it makes me so happy...so it's worth it. Try to stay positive!
Yes they do. They range from a couple hundred to thousands depending on how limited they are. But they're made from heavy duty materials and are artist made, not mass-produced. And I mean I don't cast the dolls? I paint them? I give them their looks and faces and personality.
Maybe the back of his neck where the spine properly starts into the back? If it's about the mind being free then it makes sense to be near where his brainwaves first flow into his body? I suppose it would be symbolic there XD Looking lovely as always though!
Thank you, hun! Sorry for the late reply on this...been so sick and crazy busy. =_= Totally neglecting replying to comments! I really like the back of the neck area...or maybe his shoulder so I have more room. Not sure! Just going to have to go with it. XD
Haha, thank you! And yeah, at the time when I posted this.. it was still Autumn looking. XD Sorry it took so long to reply...Been sick. Actually, we kind of skipped winter this year. Went from Autumn to now...Spring. So it's been 70-80 everyday so far!
I think I'm leaning towards his arm now! Not sure. Might just have to go with it.
