I made homemade Nikuman!
...not store bought, lol. ;) Definitely more effort, but totally worth it.

Nikuman 「肉まん」 are a kind of Japanese steamed bun. Typically a street food, filled with vegetables, meat and other ingredients. They are very similar to Chinese style steamed buns, which are also amazing and delicious.

They can be wrapped/sealed in different ways, but I didn't worry too much about that this time around, since I wasn't making them for other people, LOL. They can also be steamed in many different ways, but I particularly love to steam them in my bamboo steamer because even the bamboo smells amazing as they cook!

These were filled with a pork, cabbage and wild mushroom filling.
They were absolutely delicious~ (*´ω`)

The filling is something I've been making for so long I don't have an exact recipe, lol. Sorry! You can find several if you search google, though. Mine is a mix of ground pork, soy sauce, sesame oil, grated onion/garlic/ginger, chopped green onion, cabbage, wild mushrooms, potato starch and a little salt and pepper.
